 Let's start with the Makeup, Skincare & Hair side of Southern Belle Beauty Boutique.

 

My mother back in the day went to cosmetology school. Growing up she never practiced behind the chair but did our hair at home. So when I was in 7th grade I wanted to have BLONDE hair like the movie stars!!! So momma in the kitchen turning this brown hair beauty into a blonde was fun. I had orange hair for the first year thinking I was looking hot. hahaha, This is where my love for hair and makeup began.

 

In 2007 I graduated from the Paul Mitchells School of Cosmetology. It was a great school & I learned SO MUCH. It also cost me a pretty penny too. In fact, I'm still paying that student loan today. GESH!!!  I was a sponge and soaked everything in from Hair to Skin, to Nails, to Makeup, you name it I took the class and STILL DO TODAY! Continuing education is very important to me. I have worked in a few salons in Illinois & California. It wasn't until I moved to South Carolina that I decided to move my focus from Hair to Makeup! Now I transferred my licenses and do ALL THE THINGS to keep my license active but I just choose to not be behind the chair at this time. You never know what the future may hold.  I do a lot of makeovers from my home business. I also teach makeup one on one classes as well.

In 2017 I found myself new to South Carolina with no friends so looked to Facebook scrolling as a hobby haha. It wasn't until that moment I started following these girls putting on Younique Makeup. Now at this point in my life, I will let you know a secret I battled HYPERPIGMENTATION BAD  I can tell you every makeup brand of foundation I tried to try to cover it and still look good. I decided to buy the Younique products and was SOLD. I can remember to this EAXCT day putting on the makeup & walking out to my hubby and saying "Don't I look so pretty"  & he replied with "Yes, you look stunning".  Now he is my husband but the point is I FELT PRETTY. It had been so long since I had truly felt pretty in any makeup.  I then decided to give this opportunity a go not really having a game plan or an idea of what I was getting myself into. I didn't have any friends local, I had some Facebook friends & my family. I just started doing makeup lives and my life was forever changed by the opportunity. It helped me with my speaking issues, it helped push me out of my comfort, and it helped me believe in myself. It gave me something to chase and so much more!

Now let's talk about the Clothing Side of Southern Belle Beauty Boutique. As long as I can remember my love for fashion dates back to when I first met Carrie Bradshaw! I loved everything about her character from the show Sex and the City. I love fashion! The styles. The trends! 

 

So as a little girl I began to dream and as I hit womanhood I turned my dreams into reality and launched Southern Belle Beauty Boutique. I have a love for ALL THINGS and really just wanted to be able to share my love for things with the world. So here you will find a little bit of everything. You will find Makeup products, skincare products, shoes, belts, hats, jeans, tops, sweaters, nutrition, health and so much more! I pretty much have you covered from HEAD to TOE!

Besides being a boutique owner I also own a Real Estate Photography Business. So when I'm not doing try-on hauls and makeup tutorials I'm out in the field photographing beautiful coastal beach properties. This is my #1 Business. It's my TRUE Passion. (Photography). I fell in love with Photography one year when I was visiting my grandma in Ohio. She let me take her Canon Camera out to photograph. I remember how it felt to hold that camera in my hands. Then I was off to capture the world. There was this one photo that was taken of the sky and the river. It was so cool looking because it was a mirrored reflection. So when you turned it upside right or upside down you couldn't tell if it was the sky or the river. I still have that photo today. In fact, it sits on my desk to remind me every day why I do what I do. -It reminds me that I made a promise to my younger self to turn my dreams into reality and I'm not gonna let my younger self down!
